Continuing from the Plaza del Santo Cristo, you can walk down the lively Calle Ancha and through the picturesque Calle Príncipe to reach the vibrant area of Calle Arte y Salinas, home to the ancient Alcazaba Walls, a fascinating place to explore in Marbella. Built between the 11th and 12th centuries during the reign of Abderramán III, these castle ruins are an impressive testament to Muslim civilisation. At the end of Calle Salinas is the captivating Museum of Contemporary Spanish Engraving, housed in a splendid 16th century Renaissance building, which houses an impressive collection of over 4,000 works.
